Interesting MM taste

Postby Aadje » Thu Mar 08, 2007 12:11 pm

I just made myself a MM ristretto after cleaning my machine yesterday. It was a nice shot with a nice crema.

The taste was very interesting, for the first sip reminded my of . . . salami :D
Bits 'n' pieces . . .

This week I am mainly saying hello to old friends

Are you sure you cleaned your hands after that sandwich before you got to dose & tamp?

No seriously, as I read "salami" something triggered in my brain saying yep, familiar. I believe I've had this meat-y taste with some coffees before ..

This week I like my coffee luke-warm.

It's probably an association with the 'cured' taste, elements of damp and mould...but in a good way.
