COE Bertha Cardozo de Ordonez

Postby monkey66 » Sun Jan 21, 2007 11:29 am

You kknow when you have a shot and you feel complelled to write about it.....

Not being a home roaster I find myself sometimes mixing my pre-roast HB's to find new blends (with some success) and I also try to try everything.

Well this morning I cracked into my bag of COE Bertha Cardozo de Ordonez (3 days since roast) unsure what to expect. i have found some of the finer SO coffee's to be quite tempremental in the espresso machine.

I have to say it is great, soft silky crema, caramel all the way through with earthy undertones that never overwehlm, just enhance. Beautifully balanced; my advice, stop it immediatally on any blonding to avoid killing the magic.....I'm off to have a third one now!

I agree Monkey, it does have beautiful balance. It seems to have everything rather than just offering one facet. Very special coffee. Works extremely well in the Aerobie too :D

..just had first couple of shots from the 'Brazil Fazenda Cachoeira Canario Dried on Screen 2006-2007 crop' (longest title ever) that i received from HB Steve this morn.....um....wow! ok i've been starved of good espresso recently because of being away skiing..but seriously...amazing creamy caramel yummyness!
