Another COE Auction

Postby Steve » Thu Apr 13, 2006 10:45 pm

Another COE auction today, not quite the $50 a pound of brazil but the money was much more spread out and actually made more for the farmers than that brazil one.

I actually prefer to see this spread out bidding than top heavy, but it was tough going bidding. Lost out on the one I wanted as my budget went, but as always a back up plan meant I got still got great coffee.

Take a look at:

It is actually good to see what he farmers are getting with the CoE. Good Coffee = Good Price. That has just illustrated the worth of CoE for me from a fsrmers point of view, thanks Steve!

It certainly supports the COE/Relationship method of doing business over "Fair Trade" :D

Got to say that I like the transparency of this... can you imagine FairTrade or Starbucks actually showing the prices that they pay to farmers (and not middle men)!
This week I are feeling sleepy!

That is terrible. How do they make a living? Hardly seems fair to me.
