CHEAP GREAT GREEN COFFEE (anyone for ... 2)

Postby fred25 » Wed Apr 05, 2006 2:55 pm

First of all apologies for the cheap title, but since my last post regarding this subject did not ellicit much answers from UK members, I thought I should go straight for the jugular

If it is too blunt then I'm more than happy to change the title! :)

So, this is an update to the thread 'Anyone for Yirgacheffe'. Checking Mercanta's website has revealed that the Yirgacheffe beans have arrived to their warehouse, and they seem to be raving about them so I guess (IMHO) it must be pretty good (and Steve says so too, so therefore who are we to doubt? 8) ). It is also - according to Mercanta's people - extremely fresh, so will keep very well.

I personally love Yirg', so the idea was to buy a whole bag of greens so as to assuage my craving. A bag means, however, 60 kilos, which is a tad too much for one individual. This is why I'm looking for people ready to pay peanuts (ie. about £4.50 - £5 a kilo + postage, well not peanuts, but significantly less... On the other hand, maybe 1 kilo of peanuts DO cost £5? Now that would make sense!) for some really great Yirgacheffe.

So anyone interested, please drop me a line! I think it's really worth it (but then I would, wouldn't I ;) ), and pleasure shared is pleasure increased. :D

Payment through paypal will be best I think: easy, convenient and hassle-free! (so they say... but then I believe everything I see on television :D )

Will you pass 10kg on to Gothenburg, Sweden? If you could, and the cost of sending the package isn't too high, I am on.

No prob, except I don't know how it works (I don't have a website with card processing or anything like that). If you mean bank transfer, that's fine with me.

Another 1-5kilos to germany - if shipping is reasonable. hasbean says shipping is not that reasonable, though. When would you want to order that bag? I have a few colleagues in London who could bring some greens with them when they come over :)

As quickly as possible! :)

- Which means in the next week or two weeks, if enough people get interested quickly enough ;)

Shipping to Germany: £5.69 a kilo, or £19.95 for up to 30 kilos.... Come on, you know you want that much coffee!!
