First of all apologies for the cheap title, but since my last post regarding this subject did not ellicit much answers from UK members, I thought I should go straight for the jugular
If it is too blunt then I'm more than happy to change the title!
So, this is an update to the thread 'Anyone for Yirgacheffe'. Checking Mercanta's website has revealed that the Yirgacheffe beans have arrived to their warehouse, and they seem to be raving about them so I guess (IMHO) it must be pretty good (and Steve says so too, so therefore who are we to doubt? ). It is also - according to Mercanta's people - extremely fresh, so will keep very well.
I personally love Yirg', so the idea was to buy a whole bag of greens so as to assuage my craving. A bag means, however, 60 kilos, which is a tad too much for one individual. This is why I'm looking for people ready to pay peanuts (ie. about £4.50 - £5 a kilo + postage, well not peanuts, but significantly less... On the other hand, maybe 1 kilo of peanuts DO cost £5? Now that would make sense!) for some really great Yirgacheffe.
So anyone interested, please drop me a line! I think it's really worth it (but then I would, wouldn't I ), and pleasure shared is pleasure increased.
