A new Blend???

Postby espressomattic » Sat Mar 25, 2006 12:18 am

OK here's what I want:

Something Spicey but fruity. Not too acidic but with a hint of citrus going on but it has to have an earthy/dirty feel to it too.

Suggestions on a post card please...

Matt

Ok I'll try and be serious :(

Perhaps some aged Java with some brazil and a little yirg or Yemen. I'd work with equal amounts to start then adjust to taste

Is that better :)

Hmm... cake and HP sauce... I dunno Kate. Perhaps cake and a sweet coffee glaze?

Lightly grill me first though ...... and it may need to be a savoury recipe. I am currently marinating in a blend of fresh herbs and spices :P

Bllleeecchhh  No wonder breako thought you were too chewy!!!

I'd rather have a freshly baked, not grilled, cake marinated in brandy or rum or something alcoholic  and finished off with drizzles of cocoa-coffee glaze. Hmmm... time to go experiment in the kitchen now.

Okay, Cakey, this is getting just too weird... I'm just gonna have to steer this back on topic.

Breako, instead of Yirg for the lemony zest citrus, how about the Zambia or Zimbabwe from HB's selection for a more orangy citrus instead? I also liked the Lintong that we cupped but all I remember from it are the strawberries :D I think it was the 2nd one in line from the left, next to the no. 1 - Harrar, of course :D
