I'd say all the african beans are meant for this brewing method. Especially Yirgacheffe. However, if I want to add some spices to the mix I will use the cheap brazilian beans for that.

But... shameful as it is to admit... I haven't really tried all my beans with this method. Basically cause it is the least used brewing method in my house.
Different beans and a frying pan, Zassenhaus grinder and a couple of moka pots...

I used Brazzillian Bourbon...very nice...Yirgcheffe with Monsooned RObusta is next me thinks...SOrry but I LOVE the MOnsooned Robusta....LONG LIVE ROBUSTA!!!

I'll get my coat.

In Turkey and the neighboring countries where they use the Turkish method to make coffee (Ibrik) they use Unwashed Brazilian Arabica, Rio/Minas (mostly 2/3 - 17/18) as THE coffee for their drinks.
Not adulterated, sorry, blended with other coffee.

I would not recommend the use of RIo/Minas for any other coffee making method.

They're not bad for cappucinos. A very special coffee for sure, with a distinct taste. Cuts through the milk very well.
