not "getting" kenya

hi all

perhaps its the quality of the greens
or my roasting but im not getting the kenya vibe

I roasted some for presspot as i heard its one
of the best SO for that method, but found it rather weak and tasteless

kenya aa roasted shy of second
(dont know what exact aa)

any thoughts

Give us more details. How exactly did you roast it? I see you have a gene.
Did you let the beans rest? Where did you get the beans from? What was the batch weight?
Attaching a picture also helps.

Try also roasting a bit less.

So far i have only roasted one Kenyan.

Hasbean AA Thuga Estate. 30 seconds from posative 1st, dumped well before 2nd. result was light roast. I was a little worrried i had ejected too early especially as 80%+ of my roasts are for espresso and had no real frame of reference.

Turned out to be one of my best results.

this was probably down to good bean and luck as far as roast but the flavours were subtle but defiently there, a nice alternative to the dozen or so shots of espresso i "sample" per day. my suggestion rather than experience is roast a little less as i probs just got lucky
