Coffee suppliers in Bath

Postby Ieuan » Thu Jul 14, 2005 12:52 am

Is anyone out there aware of a company of coffee suppliers and roasters in Bath called Gillards? They were established in Bath in 1886 !:o and currently trade from the Bath Central Market at the Guildhall. Their range of coffees is excellent (as is their range of teas). I particularly appreciate their dark roasted Costa Rican blend. They have an on-line order form at www.gillards.co.uk. I have yet to find any green beans available through them, but if there are sufficient of us that want them, who knows what they may do?

I've used them before, but when I found them I wasn't looking for coffee I just stumbled across the place. It definetly has an old world market feel to it though. I picked up a kenyan peaberry from them if my addled brain can remember that far back correctly, and I think they did mail order as well. The coffee was good though I thought about making a round trip to get it every now and then but never got round to it.
