Time for a tear-down

Postby bruceb » Mon Oct 05, 2015 5:09 am

After more than 500 roasts with my 9-year old CoffeeTech Maggiolino one-pound roaster the heater died yesterday. The previous owner also had one go out so he had purchased a replacement, which I have, so it's not a catastrophe for me. I will order another one to have as a spare and replace with the one I have. It's time to tear the machine down and give it a real cleaning again. I roast every 10-12 days and it has been a couple of years since I completely cleaned the roaster. I will be taking lots of pictures and probably make a video for YouTube on the tear-down and rebuild.
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters.
I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!
