Hottop control panel

Postby Jonny782 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 4:06 pm

I've got the basic model. The problem is setting the temperature level (1-8). I have to press the pad repeatedly for 60-90 seconds to get it to start bleeping. once it starts it's OK, but I am anticipating it getting worse. Any advice would be appreciated. (just over two years old, used once or twice a week).

No idea, but I have a front control panel from the very first hottop which is compatible with the d model I think. Might be useful for fault finding. You are welcome to it if it helps.

I had the same problem after a year or so and replaced the panel with the digital (non-programmable) model, which solved the problem. Steve (HasBean) may have a replacement left over so you might try contacting him.

I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!

+1 on the Steve idea. He often has odd bits and pieces around.

No…. no Cakey, I could never consider crossing you off the list. Why I would even go so far as to share my very last Machacamarca bean with you. :D
