Can anyone advise me where i can obtain spare parts for the Gene Cafe? My dealer in the Netherlands, Ongebrand, does not stock spare parts.

The item i'm looking for is a A05 CR72- 022 A Gear Motor 1

Which is the small cog wheel on the left hand side of the unit.

cheers,

Tim

I seem to remember a guy from this forum, his name I think is Steve, he supplies the Gene Cafe and has sent me spares from time to time.

Well, believe it or not, i am still unable to locate this spare part. Have been in conversation with Claudette @ BB on several occasions, but advised that they are very difficult to get hold off, and they have not been able to get any new stock for months.

So if anyones got any other recommendations............

:D

Try Klaus Fricke in Berlin at Rohkaffeebohnen.com. I think he has spares on stock. If there is a language problem you can let me know and I'll help out. I buy greens from Klaus and can recommend him highly.

If you continue to have trouble finding one more locally. our distributor in Australia, avacuppa.com.au, has them listed and they appear to be in stock. I replaced this part a few months ago; the new version has a metal ring and should last a lot longer.

Went to Avacuppa.com.au, unfortunately their website is a nightmare for international visitors.

You can register all shipping and billing details, including the country (Netherlands in my case), however it will not process postcodes that have letters in them, even when you add the option for international shipping to the basket. Even if you strip the letters from the postcode it gives a message about being unable to calculate Australia Post costs, and it cant be processed.

Fingers crossed for Rohkaffeebohnen.com, i've dropped them an email asking if they have stock.

At last that gear of long searching is in my hands! Rohkaffeebohnen.com had the item in question and quickly sent it out. Just enough time to make a fresh Christmas blend.

Thanks for the golden tip BruceB.
