Hey Egholm :) Try rs-online or some other electronics store - Lots of multimeters support K-probe (or the like) to measure temperature :)

Now, that was actually a good idea - I missed that one... But boy, are they expensive!!
I've actually found one - I'm gonna try it tomorrow:
http://www.vitecom.com/html-docs/75-VA21.10.html
It's a K-probe. Not extremely precise - +-1%, but I've borrowed a super precise T-probe that I'll compare it against to get a feeling...

Thanks,

Cool. Where'd you find it, and how much is it? I just checked Brinck, and they have a Velleman DVM8264, unfortunately it's DKK 400,-

Just found DiscoWorld.dk where they have this one at 299,- and this one at 259,- :)

Actually, it was only 200,- (from an electronics importer-guy I know)...

Wooooow, you are way better at finding those than I was!
The probes on the last two looks like solid needles - for the iBurn it has to be wire. But that is probably just a matter of replacing it with another probe?!

Oh, crap. Or rather - nice - for you :D I've been meaning to get one myself, to monitor temps in my hottop :D

Yep, the plugs are pretty much standard ones...

Fat chance, but you're not actually the "Jakob" Egholm that I know, are you? ;)

I could ask for yet an offer, if you're interested?

Yep, the plugs are pretty much standard ones...
But maybe there is some calibration that needs being done?!

No, sorry! Close but no cigar... :-)

Ok, I'll ask for a non-binding offer...
And tomorrow I'll post a profile with readings from this and a professional- and precisely-calibrated T-probe. Just to get an idea of how well this cheap device is performing...

Same offer for you... Let's take it in PM for now!

Pretty darn well!
The readings are close enough for me - could be that they differ due to different placement in chamber! Look at the attachment...

TC results for an expensive T-probe and a cheap K-probe.
