Over the summer I've been ordering my coffee roasted. It's very convenient, I've enjoyed some fine coffee and learned a few things about different tastes on the way.
I'd gone off home roasting because I wasn't that happy with my rapid roasting Prima popper. For a long time I've thought about dismantling it and wiring in a light dimmer, but I've finally realised that I just can't be bothered with the tinkering around.
A couple of days ago I stumbled across a post on heat gun roasting. I've come across heat gun roasting before, why didn't I think of having a go myself?
Any experienced heat-gunners out there who can point me in the right direction?
I don't have a flour sift (or anything similar) so I'll probably use a saucepan: any suggestions as to what sort of size of pan I should use? I've some green beans in stock and I'd probably roast ~125g batches while I'm building up some experience.
Hopefully I'll get my hands on a heat gun tomorrow, just in time for the weekend.
