Get a cheap popcorn popper €10 - €20 new, get some beans €5+ (if you're near Berlin try http://www.preusslers.de/ ) and start roasting! Even if you're thinking about getting a more serious roaster in the future I'd recommend starting with a popper, they're cheap, simple and they give you a good idea of the process.

Posted: Tue Jan 13, 2004 4:38 pmSent an email to your p at w dot de account on Saturday, saying I was going to send samples of several different beans and how much did you get through in a week? The idea being that you can have a play at blending to see what combinations you like.
Did the roasts on Sunday evening and was surprised not to have had any response.
