Woodneck cloth filters

Postby DC » Sat Jan 29, 2011 1:38 pm

Hi,

How often should the cloth filters of Hario Woodnecks be replaced if kept properly (i.e. in water in the fridge)? I don't clean them other than to run plenty of boiling water through them before each brew and swilling under the tap afterwards. Could anyone please recommend a good source of replacements if necessary?

Thanks!

I used to change mine about every 6 months too, never kept them in water in the fridge tho. Just a clean in very hot water for a few minutes every now and again

I like to keep mine wet in a ziplock bag in the fridge. I boil it up in a pan for a few minutes from time to time to try and keep it fresh. Always try to clean it soon after using too. I've had it 6 months or so and also feel like it needs changing.

Does anyone know of a source for spare cloth filters in the UK?

Welcome to TMC Sloperman. I would contact Has Bean or Square Mile as they both stock Woodnecks and even if out of stock might be able to help or at least give an ETA for their next shipment.
