Stumbled upon this thing.
I am not going to make any statements nor prejudices about the product, just say that I´d very much like to have go with couple of these. Test it, so to speak. What makes it this interesting for me is that one of the dudes behind it is Sören, i know him myself and i`d say he`s all about quality. So if he is in a venture like this, i trust it more.
The product is starting to be sold in the COOP, Denmarks largest retail-chain.
Now where did i put those plane-tickets to Kobenhavn...

Edit: unbelievably many typos and i trust there are some that i can`t see, please go easy on me

I meant to get a sample from Soren when I saw him last - I think Stephen snagged one. I am very interested to see how this will work!

Isn't it pre-ground though?

Oddly enough, Wikes now sell a little bag of mortar that is prepared almost the same way! Anyway, back on topic, it does look interesting, though a good point from Mutty :D

From boil in the bag rice to boil in the bag coffee. I can't judge it as I have tried it, but it seems pretty gimicky. Neat idea though.

I got to road test a prototype at Caffe Culture in May last and the fundementals are good - still needing tweaking back then as the grounds were coming through into the cup.Innoviative concept which I understand from Soren has been further developed and will go to trial soon in London and other places. Good luck to them I say!

Yeah but it is still pre-ground and going stale. How are they combating that?

That sounds true, Matt. i was thinking this miself and i bet even being high end barista as he is, theres no way Sören can do anything about that. noone can.
Then again, might be good enough for the marines to go with their self-cooking meal bags..

Disclaimer: the last remark is in no way intented as a disrespect at those putting their life on the line. I have nothing less than utmost respect for the dudes.

Has anybody of you ever made tests with proper packed, single portion preground? I haven't, but I'd love to see how long it keeps drinkable. I grew the habit of grinding some coffee in the morning, put it in one of Steves resealables, and make two to four pourover cups during the day at university. The first cup always is the best, and the third and fourth always taste really flat. But even when I forget the bag for a day (have it unopened after grinding), the first cup next day still tastes good.
