Zojirushi Boiler Thingy

You know those Zojirushi boiler things that can be set to a particular temperature and that temp is maintained? Are those available this side of the Atlantic?

I suppose one could always by one from the US and a step-down converter.

Most step-down converters will handle a few hundred watts max, whereas something like that is probably 1 or 2kw so you'd just melt your transformer unfortunately. If you spot higher-power step-down converters somewhere please let me know though, I'd really like to get one of their rice cookers you can't get over here!

(Check if they sell that boiler or something similar in China, they use the same voltage as us and you just need a socket adapter. Importing stuff from mainland China is a whole other problem though!)

Oh yuh how did I forget about HK yeah if you can get it from there it should be ok to use in the UK

Wouldn't it cost a lot to get a boiler delivered from HK to UK?

They are quite small - about the size of a kettle.

Anyway sent an email off to the South East Asia Division of Zojirushi. I probably won't hold my breath for a response though.
