Burner for Hario vacpot

Postby Jules » Sat Apr 26, 2008 7:31 pm

I'm having loads of fun with my new Hario vacpot. I do however have a headache from sniffing methylated spirits while I've been using the burner. Is there an alternative fuel I can use, or a different type of burner/heat source.

Adjustable flame would be nice. There's quite a lot of turbulence when I make a 5-cup batch and some coffee splashed out of the top bowl (I didn't use the cover).

Does anyone know where I can get a propane or butane burner of a suitable size in the UK?

Hi Jules, I don't know about suppliers in UK, but maybe you want to look for something like this from the link in this thread. There's one review on it from a Hario vacpot user.
This week, I'm mainly recovering :DAll I've got is my Aerobie AeroPress | 70's Aurora/Brugnetti HX Spring Lever | Mazzer Mini E & SJ (on loan) | Hottop | Nestor Martin (Toto) Gas Roaster | Eva Solo | Moka Pots
