I was in a coffee bar in Naples with my friend, chatting about life as you do when I noticed him putting six spoons of sugar into his coffee. I told him that I didn't know he liked sweet coffee and he said 'I don't, who said I would stir?'

sugar..dont be absurd. i am, however, partial to the odd bit of chilli ground up with my morning filter. the odd peppercorn or cardamom pod doesnt go amiss either.
