As above, any experiences of scales like the a Brewista ones on the HD new items page?

We occasionally use weight scales but are intrigued as to how the timer integrates? :)

Sorry don't know about those but have been using a small Smart Weigh digital scale for weighing out the coffee. Very cheap and straightforward and apparently accurate to 0.01g.

Interestingly (or not) people who buy these from Amazon also like to buy large quantities of small ziplock bags...

Yes exactly! We have a small weight only scale and understand it to be something utilised for other plant derivative weighing by a certain fraternity. Just like Mutty was apparently once refused citric acid by his local chemist because of it's other uses despite his protestations of wanting to de-scale his espresso machine and being a police officer. So funny! We told him he just looks dodgy ;)

I wonder if the scales with additional timer have been developed for the espresso scene or if dealers are carrying out time and motion studies? :)

Just looked again, I think these may be espresso specific as in made for coffee. Found a video on YouTube, seems there are various modes. Nice :)
