It must be saddening and difficult for the farmers there. I'm not sure, however, that this is a really new development. I remember in the late 1950s or 1960s that there was a similar "crisis," and my parents were dismayed at the price of coffee. I think these things are cyclical and if not predictable are at least not permanent.
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters.
I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!

As with everything I also think these are cyclical. But I hope overall progress is being made, so the whole cyclical process inclines upwards.
