that seems to prove once more how important well ground beans are.

having said that, i see much more consistently 'perfect' pours now with the speedster when comparing to the vivaldi. the vivaldi was a lot more finicky and less forgiving with distribution and tamping flaws. i'm somehow unable to tamp 100% even. most of the time there's a bit of an angle which often enough i had seen being reflected in an pour flowing faster on the 'lower' side of the puck. all this seems to be history now... :)
Black KvdW Speedster / Arrarex Caravel / Elektra Nino / Vario / Huky 500 / and a bunch of less frequently used things...

no clue what material they are made of. But these have the word Mazzer etched on them. The old ones did not. Also there are rumours that the Mazzer Mini E (?) uses the same size, but different burrs. I think the main difference is in the newness and the fact they are OEM.

Ah, right. From what I've read, the titanium burrs grind significantly faster. Hefty price, though...

Having just installed new burrs for home use I think it will be more than 10 years before you need them. :D

Yeah, spoke to him yesterday, he has volunteered to go up and help (typical Matt) and is just waiting to hear.
