PID a Heat Exchanger Machine ?

Postby EricC » Mon Aug 30, 2004 10:05 am

I have managed to get hold of an Omega 1600 PID controller and sourced a 50 Amp SSR ( Solid State Relay ) from work.

The question is, is it worthwhile PID'ing a Heat Exchanger machine ?

If it is, where would be the best place to locate the thermocouple ?

What does everyone think ?

DOH

I've just found the PID post from the beginning of August.

That will teach me to do a search first.

Funnily enough, I started a thread on this the other day http://www.coffeegeek.com/forums/espres ... ines/70010 my intention was to make it easier/quicker to dial up & down for different roast levels.
