whats up with espresso-parts.co.uk?

Postby Skippy » Mon Jan 14, 2008 1:47 pm

Ive tried emailing them multiple times with no reply lately and when you ring them the "press 1 for sales, 2 for doomdays devices etc" bit just loops round and round. Have they gone out of business?

Would use Happy Donkey but they tend to charge so much more for everything. Will keep on trying them anyway

I bought a lot of service parts for my Rancilio from them in the second half of last year because their prices are good and they've got the exploded diagrams on their web site. I seem to remember that they used to have a phone number on their web site but can't find it there now.

When I was trying to get a new element protection 'stat earlier this month, they initially responded quite quickly via the 'Click here for help' button on their home page but, like squallleonh, I had no joy on the telephone and they've not replied to subsequent emails.

It would be a shame if they have stopped trading as their prices are quite reasonable. I did, however, want more feedback through the ordering process; it would have been comforting to get acknowledgements although the bits I ordered did always arrive eventually in the past.

Mike.
Rancilio Midi CD ex-commercial 2 group.
Fiorenzato Mestre grinder.
Both in need of some TLC.

Had an email back from them today. Seems to be pretty much one guy in charge of phones and emails so i suppose he cant be there all the time.

I guess that's the economy of scale that is reflected in the prices. I'm glad you finally managed to get hold of someone.

I've always had good service in the past. Some items are obviously not in stock and take about 10 days to come.

Guys, I'm good friends with the lads at EP and I can reassure you that everything is fine there.

I have passed on the problems to them and they have told me that from Monday the phone lines will be loosing the "Select option 1 system" (those things are so annoying) but being a prodominantly web based business, the best response will be via email (info@espressoparts.co.uk), but if you want to give tem a call its 0870 385 1531.

Hope this helps guys...
