Shame he doesn't do his raving here. Is he very busy these days?

Try reading my post - immediately before the one I have just quoted. This digital multi-meter (I spent time looking it up then even gave you the part number plus the URL for Maplins online!) has a thin and very flexible wire with a Type K thermocouple at the end.

If this won't do then you need to explain your requirements again.

I did read that, and I thought I found the one you mentioned in the shop but the probe at the end seemed a bit too long and not too flexible. I was close to that Maplins so I thought I'd pop in.

Looks like I shall have to be patient and order online.

The shame.....
(thanks for that link....)

Sorry, that wasn't clear to me.

The main wire itself is certainly flexible as it bounces around too much due to airflow/bean impacts inside my Hearthware Precision but I hadn't noticed if the thermocouple at the tip was flexible or not - I haven't needed that attribute yet.

Cheers,

Hugh

He's been on holiday, but I think he just does not get to access the web so much anymore.

The other thing is that he does not have an espresso machine here. Although that may change, you never know ;)

Shame really because he knows a lot.

I just found out that Nicole (The better half) will be in London next Monday and Tuesday. Can anyone recommend a good meter and thermocouple for her to bring back for me? I am sick of guessing.

Parts numbers would help if that's possible...
