Techno Reneka vs Spaziale S1

Postby pault » Sun Jul 25, 2004 3:57 pm

what do people think of the relative pros and cons of the Techno Reneka and the Spaziale S1??

there was a thread discussing it on CoffeeGeeks that quickly degenerated into pictures of people's kitchens so I wasn't as informed as I could have been.

issues I'm interested in (and I know Robbie's currently waiting to get his Techno plumbed in so please don't say anything about the Techno that might upset him :D )

prices ...

with VAT the Techno is about 1800 euros (1500 without) - what's the best deal a TMC member could get for the S1??

performance:

the S1 seems to have a much smaller brewing boiler - does this matter?
I'm an ignoramus but it appears to me that the new revamped Techno is technically v.good indeed - but better than the S1??

Looks:

this is where I think the S1 wins out - it looks great to me whereas the Techno looks a bit basic/boxy ...

any thoughts from others??

Best wishes,

Paul.

Well I can only say I wish Peterj would come back to us and answer this. He has a great La Spaziale 2 group machine at his premises that I positively fell in love with, and I understand he has a 1 group at home.

Objectively though I can't contribute anything but banging on about my lust for the La Spaz 2 group Peter has!

Oh except to say that you'd have a better support infrastructure for the S1 - being as they're sold over here.
