Inexpensive, small espresso machines?

Postby DrZeus » Thu Sep 25, 2003 10:27 pm

Having been in the U.S. I'm aware of the best espresso makers on the market there, but I'm clueless as to what is available in Europe. Phil had mentioned a couple of good ones available in Spain (do you have the URLs?). Any other recommendations?

Thanks. :)

Both me and Eward are very happy with our Vibiemme (aka VBM or VIBM), an Italian beauty with E61 gruppa, available in both single boiler and HX. I paid about 600 $ for the single boiler version, plus 250 $ for the Rocky (which I hate, but that's another story). Don't know if that's too expensive for you. There's always the Rancilio Silvia, which should be around 400 $, but it's not an E61 machine as far as I know.
This week I am eagerly anticipating the first god shots from my La Spaziale machine....

La Spaziale S1, Vibiemme Domobar (retd), Mazzer Mini Electronic, Behmor 1600 230V
