Euro2000 Junior

Postby EricC » Tue Mar 23, 2004 9:05 am

I ordered the Euro2000 Junior direct from the factory just over a week ago and it arrived today. :-)

It arrived on its own minature pallet, well packed and complete with 2 portafilters, one single one double, plastic tamper, blind filter
plastic coffee measure and several A4 sheets that make up the manual.

The Mazzer Mini Electronic i have on order has not arrived so i had to dash down to Tesco's to buy some Illy Espresso pre ground.

I am going to have to practice practice.

The machine has the original steam wand and hot water wand ( IE the ones that do not move over the drip tray ).
There is no Euro2000 badge anywhere on the machine and the ID plate is on the left hand side of thr drip tray.
The on/off switch is a chrome button with a black surround and the two lights are orange (boiler) and green (ready) and appear to be nice and bright.
The whole of the machine exterior is highly polished stainless steel, except of course for the group head which is chrome plated.

Now of course the daydreaming has to end, i have to learn how to operate it properly, and learn how to create espresso. :D

If you use the full reply function ("post reply" below, as opposed to the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the messages), and scroll down a bit you will see a dialogue which enabales you to upload attachments to your posting.

Apologies for the size of the pics.
Can you make them any smaller ?

Even more apologies for the Illy red, it was all i could get down at Tesco's last night.

Can you recommend any other pre ground, until my Mazzer arrives :?:

Thanks Alan.

The tamper is Reg Barbers latest, I ordered it direct from his web site.
It arrived within a week as far as i can remember, don't tell the wife but i have spent a fortune lately.

Such a fantastic machine, and a top-class grinder! But that tamper is absolutely a disgrace for your geek-status! ;)

But seriously, that plastic tamper is going to ruin your espresso, unless you will do the overfill technique, which I am not a fan of.

I should have recognised the shape seeing as it's the same shape as mine! Never knew Reg was doing solids now... Off to look at his web site again.
