Pity, I can't afford it, just finishing my kitchen and then I've got the floors to do, but I would have loved to know one of you guys got it and it went to a good home. Wonder how much he was really after?

Michel,

Email them again and ask what they got for it... I am sure it's interesting to everyone.

She replied today that the machine was removed from marktplaats because somebody made a bid over 200 euro (which is not allowed with free adds...). She now has a paid add with a starting bid: 400 euro... :?

I wonder if our conversation contributed to the price rise..... I think if she saw the site I found it definatly could have. Perhaps a members only section is called for.

I still say it will take a lot of time and effort to get it in to working order, you'd have a hell of a time getting seals that will fit and if the boiler's cracked may as well throw it straight in the bin.

Its actually still for sale... asking price still 400,- euro, while current highest bid is 285,- euro.
I think the seller might be playing a bit to high... and I hope she won't sell it, the current bidders withdraw and she desperate klings to the only nice guy in this bidding-business: ME  begging me to buy it from her for... let's say 25,- euro.

Perhaps we should put a syndicate together, I'd be willing to go €25 each?

I don't like the idea that the seller (who raised her price after me mailing your info and picture about this machine to her) makes a profit out of this machine. It's a piece of art for god sake... So she should donate it to TMC - because we are nice guys/girls - and we can use it as a challenge cup. The one who did the most posts in a year gets it (for a year of course...).

Now that sounds like a creative idea.
