Converting an old Europiccola

Postby Captain_Crema » Fri Jan 06, 2006 10:01 am

My Pavoni has two switches on the base. One is for power and the other toggles between "heat up" and "steam". The difference appears to be that on "steam" the machine just boils the water in order to produce as much steam as possible, whereas on "heat" it uses a thermostat (I assume) to keep the water at the right temperature (90 degrees?) for espresso.

Newer models have just one switch, with a pressure sensor built in. This seems to me to be a better option and I wonder if it's possible, using spare parts, to convert mine.

Has anyone tried it?

PS, Please correct me if I'm wrong about the switch settings.
