Pannarello discovery

Postby CakeBoy » Sat Dec 03, 2005 11:21 pm

Lately milk has been foaming a treat in the old Spidem. Well not in it exactly, but it's magic wand has been producing some outstanding microfoam worthy of someone who can produce latte art and therefore a complete waste in my hands :? . But hey, lets blame the jug spout.

Anyway, during today's Friday clean-up (yes, I know it's Saturday, but this week has not been great  ) I spotted that the pin sized hole on the front near the top of the pannarello wand was blocked with a little milk residue, which was dutifully removed.

Lo and behold with the next drink production the milk began frothing like 1970's disco cappuccino and I was left with something resembling a cross between bubble bath foam and all the cotton wool that has ever been found in a tart's boudoir.

After some consternation and remembering the earlier clean up, I bravely covered the small hole with a finger without any thought for my own safety 8) . Tah dah, microfoam again!

No doubt you all know about this already and I am simply a numpty. But it amused me whilst it lasted and I like to share. Now I have to work out a way to block the hole on a more permanent basis without poisining everyone who drinks from the lovely Spidem.

AND I know what you are thinking ..... NO I have not been drinking, but having read this post back even I wonder what on earth .........

I'll get my coat ..............................
