I tap the water before I grind, distribute and tamp so the water has time enough to cool a bit :)

for a double shot Americano my particuler "ritual" is .....

milk plus one shot......... then add water off boil..... then finally add the second shot to the top so you get a geourgeous crema finish and at both stages the coffee is never in contact with hot hot water...

the more i post the more i realise just how mad i am ..... :roll:
