i think only coffee could make employees so passionate that they try and make the boss realise they should do better.. keep up the good work.

Sigh.

I don't think I should bother trying to educate my boss.

Today I said that we should be using detergent at least once a day to which my boss said that we can not use the detergent more than once a week. I asked why and he said that "if you use it too much something builds up and can damage the machine, anyway, we got told this by an engineer that has worked with espresso machines for years and knows what he's talking about.". I tried to argue and was told "its once a week and thats that. Our machine can only have detergent used once a week. We don't want to damage it.".

Sigh.

I think it's a bit shortsighted from your boss not to listen. If he doesn't believe you then the least he could've done was doublechecked at the company doing the maintenance or somewhere else.

Public health warning: Higher positions in a company can cause hearing problems ;)
