Hello,
I can buy a faema e61 one group machine.
here is the story.
What is your opinion

AN ORIGINAL FAEMA E-61 ONE GROUP.....IT HAS JUST BEEN COMPLETELY
REVISED THIS WEEK BY AN AUTHORIZED FAEMA SPECIALIST HERE IN ITALY...AND
WORKS PERFECTLY...IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL CLEAR PLASTIC WINDOW (THE NEW
REPLACEMENT ONES ARE A SMOKEY COLOR) THAT DOES HAVE A SMALL HAIRLINE CRACK
THAT IS HARD TO SEE FROM THE OUTSIDE, (A NEW REPLACEMENT IS 50 EUROS, IF
YOU WANT ME TO REPLACE IT, BUT I PREFER ORIGINAL)...THE CHROME IS
EXCELLENT AND ORIGINAL AND THE MACHINE WAS WELL CARED FOR IT'S ENTIRE
LIFE...IT IS DATED 10-7-67.....IT HAS COMPLETELY NEW ELECTRIC COMPONENTS,
ALL NEW RUBBER GASKETS, ALL NEW FILTERS, NEW GLASS WATER LEVEL TUBE, NEW
STEAM ARM, AND MORE, PLUS EVERY THING ELSE WAS CHECKED AND CLEANED, AND
THE ESPRESSO WAS PERFECT..

They are asking 500 euros.

Can you tell me what i should do, buy it or not, as it is very cheap.

thank you,
Marc

Well, let's just say that a week or 3 ago the same machine but then a dual went for almost 1500EUR if I remember correctly.... If it is in good working order 500 is a bargain in my opinion.

I would say... just do it... just for the fun of it... If nothing else, it will make a fine piece of art in your home...

Sounds like a great deal :) Assuming "parts" are easily/not-to-expensively replaceable, I'd go for it :) I think you've already made up your mind (sounds like you love it)... just want some confirmation? ;)

Buy it.

Even if it's not in perfect order it is still a bargain.

There is a few things you might want to check and to make sure: You need an external pump, make sure it is included (it will set you back upto 200 euro). You should also check if it has been equipped with auto fill. Auto fill is not original and I personallye dlike to keep mine as original as possible, but autofill might be handy. Finally check the pressurestat. It is most likely replaced with a new one, even though I again prefer the original lead based one.

And finally, replacement parts are widely available, both as originals or copies.

Poul

P.S. If you pass on it - I'm interested :D

Do NOT buy this machine from karkalia45gun@yahoo.com. The 'seller' is a thief.
This machine is offered on www.Kijiji.it and after negociating he wants you to wire transfer money.
After some research on the internet I found the following text on a forum.
