The mechanic is removing the cylinder head from a Harley engine just as he sees a heart specialist walk into the shop.

The heart specialist waits for the mechanic to take a look at his motorcycle and the mechanic calls out, "Hey Doc! Take a look at this."

The cardiologist is a bit surprised, but walks over to the mechanic. The mechanic sits up, wipes his hands and says, "Hi Doc, look here, I open up the heart of this machine, take the valves out, repair the damage, put everything back together and when I'm finished it runs like new."

"How is it that I earn $39,675 in a year and you earn at least $700,000 although we do exactly the same work?

The cardiologist chuckles and says, "Let's see you to do it with the engine running."

92% of all Harleys are still on the road.. the rest made it home.. Were they owned by cardiologists?

Some interesting points guys. Can we take it from the above that artificial hearts should be made by Harley Davidson?

I admit that the vibration and high fuel consumption may be slight downsides but longevity would be assured. Maintenance would be easy, with nothing but simple hand tools, and could be carried out at the side of the road.

I expect, however, that the main attraction would be the wonderful throaty roar coming from your exhaust pipe. Wink Very Happy

So I followed your advice and had an C3PO Harley constructed to my specification. All the usual bits, platinum coated exhaust for cleaner fart function, gold coated optics, a great improvement on my old rose coloured ones. I am still researching a decent fuel blend for early start and am leaning towards a strong French blend. It runs well enough but getting the bloody thing to shut up nagging and complaining about working conditions is driving me nuts. I am seriously thinking of taking it ti Tatooine and swapping it for an R2D2 Racing bike.
